Our mission: think global, act localWe found a few simple ideas we really like. We know they're good because they're sustainable, they're healthy and they're efficient. These are the principles we try to apply to our business and the values that underpin the way we work.

Future farming
Disruptive technologyLarge-scale commercial agriculture has played a vital role in global food production for a long time. But we are beginning to recognise how it can take its toll on the natural environment.
The closed-loop and optimised conditions of hydroponic farms offer an alternative food production technique. It avoids the degradation of soil in the countryside; it prevents the chemical contamination of our aquifers; and it reduces the diminishment of biodiversity and wild habitats. Oh, and we don't use pesticides either. |
Good eatingMicrogreens and micro herbs are said to be 40x more nutrient-dense than their mature salad counterparts
Healthy body, healthy mindWe value the quality of our food. It's because we know the power that good food can have on improving your quality of life. So we take it really seriously. The Health Foods Revolution is about a lot more than a simple change to your diet.
It's about understanding what you eat, understanding your body, and understanding the benefits those things can have. We can all enjoy the wholesome nutrition of good food. But that's only one part of a wholesome lifestyle everyone should strive for. |
ResponsibilityWe put environmentalism at the heart of our product offering with compostable packaging options on all our salad lines
Changing our habitsWastefulness is a big issue in society and in modern economies. Unfortunately it encompasses everything we do and everybody's guilty of it. And so it follows that resolving the issue of waste requires a change in everything we do.
Even very small actions contribute to the enormous shift that is taking place. But these positive steps must continue if we are to create a truly sustainable society. This is why we are committing to environmentally-friendly packaging. It's either completely compostable or it's made entirely from recycled materials which are themselves entirely recyclable. |
Food miles
Rethinking cities and food supply chainsKnowing where your food has come from is really important too. We work hard to make sure our crops are as healthy and as fresh as possible.
And we designed the business around sensible supply chains. We achieve this by creating a controlled growing facility and farming vertically so we can be in urban areas. |
BeING green
London-grownWe love London. And it's just as well, because we built our business by delivering all our salad on two wheels around the city. That's another reason we are based as near to the shops and restaurants we serve; so that we can grow food that gets eaten just a bike ride away.
Fumes and harmful pollutants have recently reached critical levels in London. Public health is increasingly at risk and we don't want to contribute to that trend whatsoever. Just spare a thought for us when it's raining! |
